Sounds limited in time by the white man. I don;t know much about Native American music but I do go as far as Buffy St. Marie. Certainly there are plenty of American folk musicians like the ones you mentioned and to that I'd add some black spirituals and Nawlins. Not sure how many songs we have from 1700's America except the obvious patriotic stuff.
