Ben you hit the nail on the head......"Some bands you try to like because you know you're 'supposed to' but it just doesn't take". I remember being young and having nothing much else to spend my money on but music albums and trying to "get into" as much music as I could. Friends would say ..."have you heard this bands album or that singers album, it really rocks!" Then I'd buy it and it just couldn't move me like I hoped it was going to. Take Robin Trower for example, I bought albums because all my friends said he was great. But he never made my great list.

6-gun sound is our claim to fame.
 I can hear them say"

Not every band works for everyone. I love Deep Purple, more than Cheap Trick, but never got into Bad Company much. The occasional song yes, but overall I consider them fairly average. Supertramp I like sometimes but never went beyond Breakfast in America and a CD best of. Actually, I like Roger Hodgson's first solo more than anything outside of Breakfast. Some bands you try to like because you know you're 'supposed to' but it just doesn't take.
