I dont know, I suppose you're right.
I had a band that some publishing/recording companies were flirting with for a record deal, about ten years ago
I had to deal with all kinds of weirdness, the suits especially disgusted me. It was a bitter introduction to the real business of rock music. They all pissed me off so much that I turned them all down to wait for "a better deal"... which of course never came.
doh!
But hindsight being 20/20, I have no doubt that if I had signed any of those "deals", I would have been a miserable slave to them in 6 months, and flat broke in 12.

Howl, It is a lot of work but w/ the right people, it becomes a labor of love, which I don't mind. Have come close a couple of times to thinking we finally got it right and then one person or another gets on a head trip and it's not long b4 I'm casing my gitfiddle and saying happy trails & best of luck to you. So, I'll never be famous, or hopefully, develop an ulcer. But you just gotta keep on rockin'. Hey kids, rock n' roll, ooh my soul. :) Bill --- On Wed, 2/15/12, howl dog <howldogg@yahoo.com> wrote:
